Pro Bono Projects
Not only does WSI work with top businesses from a cross-section of industry, we also take on projects pro bono to help service organizations and nonprofits achieve greater outreach. Through the power of Internet marketing, we've helped these groups become more visible and successful, putting them in better position to aid others.
It's been tremendously rewarding for everyone on our team.
Our Projects
Anchors Away
Anchors Away promotes and provides a year-round outdoor program for people with physical and mental disabilities, at-risk youth, the elderly and their families in Charleston, S.C. The nonprofit organization affords the disabled and disadvantaged citizens of the Lowcountry a chance to fish, ski, sail, or just enjoy the water. The name is appropriate: For 15 years, the program has tried to shed the "anchors" limiting people with disabilities.
We helped revamp their Website in order to increase exposure and donations, so Anchors Away can continue its vital mission. Now, they can more easily provide services to those in need.
The Old Website
- Served as a simple brochure for the organization, lacking important details
- Also lacked e-commerce capabilities -- it was unable to take donations
- Appeared unprofessional, and was without a reliable server
The New Website: AnchorsAwayProgram.org
- Provides information to visitors regarding the organization, asking if they're interested in participating, volunteering, or donating
- Offers an easy PayPal donation process
- Keeps readers updated regarding press, news, and events
- Allows for images, videos and blogs to be posted, concerning the group and its successes
- Enables email campaigns, via contact list, in order to maintain relationships
Hemangioma Treatment Foundation
The Hemangioma Treatment Foundation is a nonprofit that strives to improve the self-image of children across the world. Begun by Dr. Marcelo Hochman of the Facial Surgery Center in Charleston, S.C., his team helps children with hemangiomas gain access to treatment or care. There is no other organization in the world dedicated exclusively to providing charitable treatment to children with vascular birthmarks.
WSI also give their Website an overhaul, allowing for donations, accurate information and better appearance. It's a marked improvement.
Their Old Website:
- Provided information in a difficult, hard-to-follow layout
- Included incomplete pages
- Couldn't be easily updated with news and events
- Had no way of accepting donations
The New Website
- Provides information in a clear and concise way
- Offers clearly defined paths for all types of visitors (patients, parents, doctors, donors, etc.)
- Easily accepts donations
- Sells tickets to annual gala
- Gives testimonials of previous clients, including before and after images
- Allows accessibility to patient documents for potential treatment
- Supplies travel advice for patients arriving to Charleston from other areas
Gift Plantation
A beautiful neighborhood on John’s Island, SC, Gift Plantation, happens to be the residence of two WSI B2B Marketing employees. The homeowners association was looking for a way to provide all of the residents with an easy way to learn about upcoming events, news, and other important information.
